15 climate justice organizations across Oregon attend OJTA’s 2023 member retreat

From Nov. 13 through Nov. 16, 2023, Oregon Just Transition Alliance and its key members, partners, and friends gathered for our 2023 member retreat at the Alton L. Collins Retreat Center in Eagle Creek, Oregon. Among the fir trees and moss-covered vine maples, we learned about the principles of a Just Transition, celebrated our wins, and shared our policy goals for the future. Most importantly, we invested in our collective knowledge and deepened our connections, strengthening the possibility of a Just Transition in our lifetime.

Our member retreat wrapped:

  • 15 alliance organizations and close partners attended.

  • 33 individual attendees traveled from at least six different regions of Oregon to participate.

  • 4 days and over eight full hours were spent learning from each other about a Just Transition–what it is and how we work towards it.

  • 2 solid after-hours were spent playing Just Transition Loteria.

  • 4 large bottles of Coke Zero were drunk by one single Climate Justice Alliance member.

Shout outs and thank yous:
