OUR WINS
2017-2020
Founded in 2017 as a project of OPAL Environmental Justice.
Held the first Just Transition Assembly, bringing together alliance and community members to learn about and connect through Just Transition principles.
Organized a caravan to the Solidarity to Solutions Summit in San Francisco, deepening our approach by centering community-led solutions and connecting our work to a broader movement.
Built on deep community input to create Oregon’s first Green New Deal.
Became an independent statewide alliance in 2020.
2021
Co-founded and led the Oregon Clean Energy Opportunity campaign.
Won 100% Clean Energy for All, committing Oregon to 100% clean electricity by 2040 with strong labor and equity standards.
Passed the Energy Affordability Act, creating a low-income utility rate class to decrease utility costs for families.
Passed the Healthy Homes Grant Program, funding efficiency, air quality, and safety upgrades in low-income homes.
2022
Passed the Environmental Justice for All Act, creating Oregon’s Environmental Justice Council and mapping tool to identify pollution and climate burdens.
Secured a seat on the Environmental Justice Council, ensuring frontline representation.
Launched the Energy Justice Leadership Institute, a community-led space where frontline leaders learn about Oregon’s energy system and build power to take action.
Led by members Verde and Rogue Climate, passed the Emergency Heat Relief package, which expands access to affordable, efficient heating and cooling for low-income Oregonians after wildfires and extreme weather.
2023
Passed the $90 million dollar omnibus Climate Resilience Package, which included Community Resilience Hubs, Healthy Heating & Cooling for All, Build Smart from the Start, Building Performance Standards, and Smart State Buildings.
Helped pass Housing Choices (HB 2001) and instilled our racial equity lens to ensure new affordable housing benefits frontline communities.
2024
Secured an additional $15 million for the Healthy Homes Grant Program.
Alongside member Verde, supported passage of Water Equity Funding, investing in aging water infrastructure with targeted support for frontline communities.
2025
Passed the FAIR Energy Act, limiting utility rate hikes and banning winter increases.
Launched the Transportation Justice Leadership Institute, which trained community members to advocate for equitable, sustainable transportation systems that serve frontline communities.
Supported member PCUN in securing $2 million for Farmworker Disaster Relief, supporting workers impacted by heat, smoke, and climate disasters and who are excluded from unemployment benefits.
